Tom:

Sorry to be so late getting back to you. I just had an hour to spare, and have found a number of comments and are going through them now.

I've been fighting back problems since August 1970 when I first broke my back in a fall. Following surgery, I fell again breaking a vertebrae above the initial breaks. That laid me up for nearly a year.

It's been a steady stream of varying degrees of pain since them and then this current fall brought it all back again. I'm doing the physical therapy thing three days a week, and it seems to help.

Of course, being 70 doesn't help because I'm simply not quite as active as I was 20 years ago. But I keep at the fishing and hunting as much as I can, and being outdoors and being action may be the best antidote for what ails me. Thanks for the note and keep in touch. -- Dave

Dear Dave,
Regarding your sore back. I too have had almost thirty years of trouble.
The last best treatment I got was traction as apposed to the twisting some practitioners use. It let the discs settle into their rightful position.
I have not had any trouble since. (Except aging;-)
Take care,
Tom Peterson
